1.Who we are
SmartPora (স্মার্টপড়া) is a free online exam-preparation platform for students in Bangladesh — SSC, HSC, university admission and government-job exams. In this policy “we” means the SmartPora Team. Contact for anything about your data: help@smartpora.com
2.Information we collect
When you create an account:
- Name, email address and (optionally) mobile number
- Password — stored only as a one-way hash; we never see or store the actual password
- If you provide them: education level, institution name, preparation goal, target exam date and daily goal
When you sign in with Google, Facebook, LinkedIn or X we receive only: your name, email address (if you share it), profile picture and an account identifier. We do not access your posts, friends, messages or contacts, and we never post on your behalf.
While you use the platform:
- Practice history — questions answered, correct/incorrect, points, streaks
- Mock-test and live-exam results, Mistake Book, saved job circulars, liked content
- Routines or screenshots you submit to Smart Coach
- Your browser's push-notification endpoint, if you turn reminders on
- Standard server logs for security (e.g. IP address, browser type, timestamps)
3.How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account secure
- To show your progress, results, rank and Mistake Book
- To build leaderboards and live-exam merit lists
- To send reminders you opt into and essential emails (welcome, account notices, saved-circular deadlines)
- To improve the platform and prevent abuse
4.What other users can see
On leaderboards and live-exam merit lists, other students can see your display name, profile picture, institution (if provided) and points/rank. Your email, phone number and password are never shown. You can change your name and institution from your profile at any time.
7.Retention and security
We keep your data while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days.
All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and access is limited to authorised members of the SmartPora Team. No system on the internet is 100% secure — keep your password private.
8.Your rights and choices
- Access and correct: edit your name, institution and goals from your dashboard profile
- Delete: see the data deletion instructions to delete your account and data
- Notifications: turn reminders off from your dashboard at any time
- Disconnect sign-in: remove SmartPora's access from your Google, Facebook, LinkedIn or X settings
- To request a copy of your data, email help@smartpora.com
9.Children and minors
Children under 13 must not create an account. Students under 18 should use SmartPora with a parent or guardian's knowledge. A parent who wants their child's data removed can email help@smartpora.com and we will act on it.
10.Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top is updated; significant changes are announced on the site or by email.
